2006 AQHA Buckskin Gelding
Quiet, young gelding currently under saddle
"Tucker" is currently under saddle and doing very well. He is quiet and responsive without being explosive. Very smart, he is willing and loves to please his rider. The saddle photo that you see here was taken on his very first ride and the girl that is riding him is 14 years old and starting him under saddle. He is too growthy to be started by someone that is too heavy. He is going through a major growth spurt and he is very tall without being too filled out yet. He will fill out in his three and four year old year and this breeding is a very well known local breeding here in the Bitterroot Valley, Montana. These horses are known for their quiet, easy to train personality and they grow to be big and tall. Tucker was raised by one owner and has never had a bad day in his life. He gets along well with others, sometimes a little playful, but that comes with his age. Tucker is that buckskin everyone loves and he has been ponied with an adult horse over logs, through water, over bridges and is well on his way to becoming a excellent trail horse. He doesn't refuse obstacles, just needs to know that it is o.k. and he is through or over them with no problems. He has been exposed to dogs, llamas, children and traffic. Reasonable in his thinking, you could take him to your trainer and make that person very happy that you brought him/her a fun horse to train with no bad habits.

UPDATE: Tucker has now been on several trail rides and is more than perfect, crossing water and bridges with no hesitation. He has also been "slicker broke" getting the slicker off of the fenceline from the back of him and putting it on without any spook and also being able to walk quietly over a tarp on the ground. Just take a look at how much a well broke, quiet buckskin gelding this good looking is selling for as a mature horse. His price will keep increasing with training.
